A Family Villa, Opened to Guests
Aashirwad Beach Villa began as a family home on the Malpe shore, built the way coastal Karnataka homes have always been built — deep verandahs to catch the sea breeze, a sloped terracotta-tile roof to shed the monsoon, and a courtyard shaded by coconut and areca palms. Today, a handful of its rooms are open to travellers who want more than a hotel room: a home with a garden, a gate, and a story.
Every detail, from the temple-style gate to the tiled sit-outs, was kept intact. What we've added is simply comfort — air-conditioned retreats, modern bathrooms, and a team that treats your stay the way Tulunadu treats a guest: as devare (a form of the divine).

Tulunadu is one of India's few living Bhoota Kola cultures — spirit worship, Yakshagana theatre, and buffalo-race Kambala are not museum pieces here, they are the calendar of the year. Our hosts can point you to a nearby kola or a temple festival during your stay, season permitting.
And on the table: kori rotti, neer dosa, and a fish fry unlike any other coastline in India. We've dedicated two full pages to it, because a great stay is also a great meal.
